The area within the Mértola Forestal Perimeter serves as a fieldwork site for practical classes in the Hunting Management course and the School of Hunting, Fishing, and Nature at ALSUD – Escola Profissional de Mértola. It is located on a 114-hectare plot in the Mértola Forestal Perimeter/Municipal Hunting Zone, provided by the Municipality of Mértola. The protocoled area has been expanded to 300 hectares to allow for further expansion and innovation in habitat improvement models.

This space significantly contributes to the school’s performance in developing active learning projects with active methodologies, turning this area into a true living laboratory that extends beyond the traditional classroom.
